Robert Paz has been named managing director of New Jersey accounting firm Sax Macy Fromm & Co.
Elected by the firms shareholders, Paz is the firms fifth managing director since its formation in December 1956.

Paz joined SMF in 1981 and has been a partner with the firm since 1989. He has been instrumental in growing SMFs Construction Industry Service Group and has served as a member of the firms Executive Committee and Compensation Committee.
He has served as treasurer of the New Jersey Construction Council, president of the Construction Industry CPAs and Consultants Association, and is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association. He served as chairman of the CFMAs Accounting and Reporting Committee, American Subcontractors Association, New Jersey Surety Underwriters Association and Utility and Transportation Contractors Association. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.
