Sikich Merges with O’Donnell, Bonebrake & Co.

Sikich LLP has agreed to merge with the St. Louis-based firm O’Donnell, Bonebrake & Co.

The new addition will take on the Sikich name and will be located in Sikich’s St. Louis office.

“Adding the OBCPA team to our practice in St. Louis is an exciting endeavor, as the team is well-known for providing top-quality, thorough accounting, auditing and tax services to their clients,” St. Louis office partner-in-charge Mike Stelmacki said in a statement. “As our team develops, it increases resources and opportunities that we can offer our clients, ultimately benefiting their long-term business goals. We are looking forward to reaching new heights with our growing team.”

Mark O’Donnell and James Bonebrake will join Sikich as partners.

O’Donnell has nearly 40 years of experience in business consulting, accounting and auditing. Specializing in strategic planning, budgeting, succession, deferred compensation, financing, and financial statement design and analysis, he focuses on providing practical solutions to clients’ business challenges.

Bonebrake has been in public accounting since 1980 and previously served as an auditor with the Internal Revenue Service, as well as an accountant with a major defense contractor. He specializes in quality control for compliance services and tax consulting. Both O’Donnell and Bonebrake are associated with the AICPA and the Missouri Society of CPAs.

The following individuals will also join the Sikich team: Kevin Green will join as manager while Karen Davis, Dean Crossley, Rachael Haas and Nathan Laurentius will join as staff accountants.

O’Donnell and his team are currently reaching out to clients to inform them of the merger and to address any questions they may have about the combination or Sikich.
