SLGG Launches IT Risk Management Practice

Accounting and consulting firm Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP has added enterprise risk management services to its roster of services with the establishment of an information technology risk management practice group.

The firm has appointed Troy A. Snyder, a former partner at Ernst & Young, to head the new practice unit. Snyder's experience includes providing advice to clients on information technology transactions, audit plan development and service delivery, as well as third-party attestation services such as SAS 70, WebTrust, IT internal audit, information security assessments, application control assessments including integration into financial audits, and IT Sarbanes-Oxley 404 assessments.

"Risk management is a critical area to the success of many companies, and our ERM services will help identify risk and its impact on their business. We've established this practice group to address these issues and provide the solutions to improve and optimize business controls and data management at each level," said SLGG chairman Harvey A. Goldstein. "We believe these new services will greatly benefit our existing clients and provide the opportunity to improve information management and increase efficiency."

Los Angeles-based SLGG ranked No. 92 on Accounting Today's 2005 Top 100 Firms list, with revenue of $21.3 million, three offices, 19 partners and a total staff of 139.
