Smith and Stevenson Named to PCFRC

James K. Smith, chief financial officer of Phonom Corp., and James Stevenson, CFO of ABS Capital Partners, have joined the Private Company Financial Reporting Committee.

Sponsored by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, with additional administrative support from the American Institute of CPAs, the PCFRC represents all non-public business entities regardless of size, and focuses on how standard-setting affects day-to-day technical activities and procedures from a cost/benefit perspective.

“Smith, through his expertise as a preparer, and Stevenson, through his experience as a reviewer of private company financial statements, will both contribute important perspectives to the work of the committee,” said committee chair Judy O’Dell in a statement.

Smith and Stevenson succeed Kathy Barry and H. Marco Kichler, who have completed their terms.
