Snoop Dogg Pays off $546,000 Tax Lien

Rap singer and actor Snoop Dogg has reportedly paid off a tax lien from the Internal Revenue Service in full.

The 41-year-old performer, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was hit with a tax lien in February for unpaid taxes for 2009 and 2011. The IRS and the state of California had filed tax liens against him in 2010 as well (see IRS Bites Snoop Dogg with $598,308 Tax Lien). However, the rapper has now paid off the February tax lien of $546,270.29, according to TMZ, and the IRS released the tax lien in April.

Earlier this year, he released a documentary about himself, “Reincarnated,” along with a new album of the same name. The California-born rapper also announced last year that he was taking on a new stage name, Snoop Lion, after he was rechristened by a Rastafarian priest in Jamaica.
