Software Reseller Launches Podcast

A Minneapolis customizer and reseller of accounting software is among the first to launch a podcast targeting accounting and finance executives.

Podcasting is a way of making audio files, usually in the MP3 format, available online in a way that allows software to automatically download files and play them either from their computer or a portable player.

Boyer & Associates, a technology company that customizes and resells Microsoft, Great Plains and Solomon software, recently announced a new podcast features best-practices advice on their Web site. Boyer's "Best Accounting Practices" podcast, is available at www.bestaccountingpractices.com. At the site, visitors can download individual podcasts, learn how to subscribe for free to the podcast, automatically download new episodes, and submit comments and topic suggestions

"It's a myth that iPods and podcasting are just for music or for teens," said company founder and president Jack Boyer, in a statement. "Podcasting is a completely new way to communicate. It puts listeners in control of the medium, and it allows them to multi-task while getting the information they want."

Boyer has 15 years experience in customizing and implementing Microsoft accounting solutions. His podcast relates specific examples from his experience in implementing solutions for consulting, distribution, retail, construction and other industries. Topics include details for expense reporting, timecards, job costing, driving profits and more.
