California's annual list of the top tax evaders in theGolden State includes the names of at least three celebrities.
Among the notables are actor Burt Reynolds, who owes hisfellow Californians $225,000, according to the list circulated by statecontroller John Chiang. However, Smokey and the Bandit's tax bill pales incomparison to actor-comedian Sinbad Adkins, who still owes a whopping total of$2.5 million on a 2001 tax lien, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Singer and former Psychic Friends Network pitchwomanDionne Warwick also has a hefty tax bill: $2.18 million.
One tax scofflaw who has been removed from this year'slist after making an appearance last year is O.J. Simpson, but only because theformer football great is now in prison after being convicted of leading anarmed holdup of a group of sports memorabilia salesmen.
