Surgent releases audit-focused course

Surgent Accounting & Financial Education has released Surging Auditors, another entry in its series of products focused on gamified, online education courses.

Like "Max the Tax," the first entry in the series, Surging Auditors gives accounting, tax and financial professionals the opportunity to earn continuing education credit while they learn.

Surging Auditors presents users with real-world situations in order to quiz their knowledge of inventory procedures and ability to use their professional skepticism to best audit companies. Points are scored to users by asking correct questions, identifying errors, and utilizing follow-up procedures for each situation they're given.

The four stages of a Surging Auditors course present users with the following tasks: Investigate and review information about their virtual client; interview the virtual client to validate claims and uncover pertinent information; use the information gathered to complete a given task before submitting their completed work for evaluation; and take a final exam to earn CPE credit.

A one-credit Surging Auditors course costs $29. Users have one year from their date of purchase to take the course and earn their CE credit. A subscription model will also be available as more courses are gradually added to Surgent Interactive.
