SysPro and Business Objects Create Partnership

A partnership between software makers SysPro and Business Objects will result in the integration of Crystal Reports XI with the SysPro 6.0 business software as early as the end of this year.

Crystal Reports XI is one of the few enterprise-class reporting tools that works well with XML, the industry-standard data exchange mechanism used throughout the SysPro platform. The SysPro applications are designed to help control business planning and management of accounting, manufacturing and distribution operations.

The enhanced software will also give SysPro customers the capability to customize standard reports for the first time.

"SysPro is one the first companies in the world to be using Crystal Reports with XML as the standard data source, rather than targeting a database directly," said SysPro chief executive Phil Duff, in a statement. "This is a tremendous win for SysPro customers, as their investment in customized reports remains protected during version upgrades."
