Tax Social Networking Site Launches

Tax 2.0, a new tax-focused online community, is set to make its official debut later this month.

The new site, at www.tax2point0.com, is already online, however. It uses so-called “Web 2.0” technology to allow collaboration among tax professionals, offering a set of tools to help members optimize their tax operations.

The features of the site came from a series of executive forum meetings of corporate tax executives from around the country. During the meetings, the group defined the mission of the site, which is to drive performance excellence by fostering innovation and defining best practices in tax and administration.

Tax 2.0 is scheduled to be officially unveiled at the 66th Annual Tax Executives Institute Conference in San Francisco on Oct. 30.
