BLACKBAUD ANNOUNCES 4Q RESULTS; LAUNCHES STOCK BUYBACK PROGRAM: Nonprofit software vendor Blackbaud Inc. posted a fourth-quarter loss of $4.3 million for the period ended Dec. 31, compared with a loss of $129,000 for the fourth quarter of last year.Meanwhile, systemwide revenue rose 17 percent, to $35.7 million, compared with the fourth quarter of 2003. License revenue increased 15 percent to $6.8 million; services revenue rose 21 percent to $9.9 million; and maintenance and subscriptions revenue increased 17 percent, to $17.6 million, over the comparable period of fiscal 2003.

The maker of such proprietary products as Raiser's Edge said that it is also instituting a stock-buyback program in which its board of directors approved a share buyback of up to $35 million worth of the company's common stock - representing roughly 2.6 million shares.

PROVANTAGE DEBUTS VERSION 7.1: Time and billing software provider and Microsoft reseller ProVantage Software Inc. has released ProVantage 7.1, a version whose upgrades include the availability of new imaging functions capable of spanning four accounting modules within the ProVantage application.

Users who purchase an imaging license with 7.1 will be able to scan, store and retrieve documentation such as vendor invoices, checks, credit memos, write-off receipts, bank records and other back-up documents.

Among ProVantage 7.1's other enhancements are upgrades to its exception and receivables reports, and an automated feature capable of searching and replacing narrative across transactions in a list.

STF DEBUTS ONLINE VERSION OF SUPERFORM: STF Services Corp., a provider of electronic tax forms, has released an online version of its proprietary tax computation and compliance product, SuperForm Sales Tax Rates/Forms.

The product, originally launched in August 2003 as a CD-ROM, offers users the ability to check and confirm tax rates for thousands of taxing jurisdictions, and facilitates compliance with filing requirements by providing forms coverage for those jurisdictions.

SuperForm Sales Tax Rates/Forms is available in a variety of modules, including a rates-only package, a forms-only package, and a rates and forms package.

ACCOUNTMATE, INFOTRAC ENTER JOINT MARKETING PACT: Accounting software provider AccountMate has entered into a distribution pact with CRM software developer Infotrac Solutions Inc. whereupon a customized Infotrac for AccountMate will be made exclusively to integrate with AccountMate for SQL and MSDE versions.

Infotrac for AccountMate offers enterprise-wide functionality, but has been scaled down for small and midsized businesses requiring customized CRM solutions.

AccountMate will market and sell Infotrac via its reseller community, while Infotrac will provide technical support and development of the customized Infotrac for AccountMate.
