INTUIT OFFERS IMPROVED PROGRAMS FOR CPAS: Intuit Inc. announced that it would increase its commitment to accountants by rolling out a series of new and enhanced programs, including free technical support for QuickBooks ProAdvisors, an accountant-dedicated support team, and free in-person training seminars in 80 cities."We want to send a clear message that no one is more committed than Intuit to understanding the needs of accountants and giving them the resources and support they need to be successful," said Intuit's vice president of accountant programs, Jill Ward, in a statement.

Intuit has doubled its investment to provide free, in-person QuickBooks training on accountant-specific topics in 80 cities nationwide. Accountants will also have access to more than 60 free Web-based QuickBooks training sessions, and accounting associations - at both the state and the chapter level - will have access to in-person presentations on everything from using QuickBooks to building a practice.

Intuit has also created a specialized support staff dedicated to accountants, and the U.S.-based team includes expert QuickBooks accountants. Support is included with QuickBooks ProAdvisors membership at no additional charge.

OPENPAGES ROLLS OUT SOX EXPRESS 3.1: OpenPages, a provider of Sarbanes-Oxley software, unveiled SOX Express 3.1, their latest Web-based software for compliance with Sections 302 and 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

SOX Express 3.1 offers new integration with third-party applications, extended dashboard and reporting capabilities, and further enhancements to the products' ease of use and its administration tools. A new Web-based application program interface called OpenAccess is featured in the latest SOX compliance software. OpenAccess allows customers a bi-integration exchange between SOX Express and such software products as PricewaterhouseCoopers' TeamMate, an audit management solution, and products from Greenlight Technologies and Oversight Systems.

SOX Express 3.1 also features CommandCenter, an extended suite of executive dashboards and reports designed to accelerate review and approval of governance, risk and compliance management information throughout a business. CommandCenter provides management with a graphical view into the current state of their organization's internal controls framework and potential risk exposures.

NETSUITE TAPS GRAHAM TO HEAD CHANNEL MARKETING: NetSuite Inc., an on-demand business management software developer, named former Sage marketing executive Kimberly Graham as director of channel marketing. At NetSuite, Graham will oversee the company's overall channel marketing initiatives for its NetSuite, NetSuite Small Business, NetSuite CRM, NetSuite CRM+, NetERP and NetCommerce solutions.

Launched in 2002, the NetSuite Channel Program represents roughly 30 percent of NetSuite's total annual revenue. During her six-year tenure at Sage, Graham developed and managed the channel marketing program for the mid-market division product lines.

FROST NAMED SERENIC CFO: Nonprofit and financial software publisher Serenic Corp. named Michael Frost as its chief financial officer. In his new role, Frost - who will be based in Edmonton, Alberta - will be responsible for corporate governance, finance, IT and operations.

Prior to joining Serenic, Frost was part of the senior management team at the KPMG LLP unit in Edmonton. Prior to that, he held management positions at both BDO Dunwoody LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. He holds both the Chartered Accountant and the Chartered Business Valuator designations.

Prior to Frost's appointment, the CFO duties at the company had been overseen by Serenic chairman Dwayne Kushniruk.
