SAGE RELEASES MOBILE PAYMENT TOOL FOR SMALL BIZ

Sage North America has released Sage Payment Boss, a new mobile tool that allows small businesses to get paid anytime, anywhere, by accepting credit cards using a 3G-enabled phone and a merchant account. With Sage Payment Boss, small businesses can select Sage Payment Solutions or another merchant account provider and all payments are instantly verified.

Users access Payment Boss through a mobile browser, and all transactions are routed through Sage's secure servers. As a payment is processed, the system automatically sends an e-receipt to the payee and provides the small business with a customer management tool to capture basic customer information, including address, e-mail and phone number, along with a history of transactions.

SAP ADDS STARTER PACKAGES FOR BUSINESS BYDESIGN

SAP AG continues to target the small-to-midsized business market with the introduction of three new starter versions of its SAP Business ByDesign system, as well as the release of Feature Pack 2.5 for the system.

Available for as few as 10 users, the three starter packages include a customer relationship management package, an enterprise resource planning package and a professional service provider package. Feature Pack 2.5 delivers real-time, in-memory analytics, support for mobile devices, a customizable user interface and increased flexibility.

DOC.IT RELEASES SMALL FIRM PACKAGE

Document management and archiving provider Doc.It has released the Doc.It Suite Small Firm Package, focused on firms with 10 users or less. The suite includes multiple features to allow a firm to go paperless and manage scheduling needs. The Doc.It Suite Small Firm Package includes archiving features, a work-in-process binder, a publisher, a PDF editor, scanning ability, tax and accounting software integration, and automated forms recognition.
