FREEAGENT BUYS 60MO

Chicago -- U.K.-based cloud accounting software maker FreeAgent is launching a foray into the U.S. market with the purchase of financial forecasting software firm 60mo, whose team will be incorporated into FreeAgent's new American division, FreeAgent Inc., which aims to deliver cloud-based software to help freelancers and small businesses stay on top of their finances. FreeAgent Inc. will be based in Chicago, and a dedicated U.S. version of the FreeAgent system will be launched in the coming months. The firm also plans to adapt the U.K. system's tax forecasting and tax return-filing capabilities, and incorporate these into the U.S. version. In addition, FreeAgent Inc. plans to explore new partnerships with banks and the accounting profession in the U.S.

 

COMPUPAY MERGES WITH HR SERVICES COMPANY

Dallas -- CompuPay is moving into the human resources arena by merging with employee benefits services provider BenefitMall. The combined company name will be BenefitMall, while CompuPay will be known as CompuPay, a BenefitMall Company. The company will offer complete health insurance, benefits, payroll, and related products and services to small and midsized businesses and their employees throughout the United States.

 

ACL SERVICES RELEASES MOBILE AUDIT MANAGEMENT APP

Vancouver, B.C. -- Audit management and analytics technology provider ACL Services has released ACL Workpapers for iOS, a mobile audit management app now available for free download from the iTunes App Store. ACL Workpapers for iOS is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and requires iOS 4.0 or later. Native extension for iPad and an Android app are presently under development, and are expected to be ready for release this summer.

ACL Workpapers for iOS is an extension of ACL Workpapers, a cloud-based audit management system built to help audit teams and corporate audit departments manage their audits from beginning to end.
