SAGE INTRODUCES INVOICING

Irvine, Calif. -- Sage North America has launched Sage One Invoicing, a new cloud solution for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Available for $9 per month, Sage One Invoicing is designed to give small-business owners the tools to get paid faster, more efficiently, and with a more professional look. Monthly subscriptions also include unlimited access to online and phone support.

 

ACUMATICA APPOINTS NEW CEO

Kirkland, Wash. -- Acumatica, a cloud-based enterprise resource planning solutions provider for small and midsized companies, has appointed Jon Roskill as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Roskill, with 25 years of leadership experience in the software business, including 20 with Microsoft, will succeed Yury Larichev, who will stay on the Acumatica board as an advisor.

 

WAVE ADDS BANK REC

Toronto -- Online accounting software developer Wave has released a bank reconciliation feature to its entire user base. The feature lets business owners simply confirm that all the necessary transactions in a given bank account are represented in their accounting. The bank rec feature had been in limited release since December 2013 to users in the Wave Labs beta testers program and to members of the Wave Pro Network.

 

FRESHBOOKS ADDS JOURNAL ENTRIES

Toronto -- FreshBooks has released Journal Entries for QuickBooks and CSV, to make it easier for users to collaborate with their accountants. The feature lets businesses send journal entries in two formats -- .IIF and .CSV. Accountants can import all FreshBooks transactions directly into QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2011+ and other accounting solutions.

 

ACCOUNTANTS LAUNCH SQRL

Cincinnati -- Sqrl, an information-gathering and communication tool created by accountants, has raised $550,000 in seed money. The Web application, which is now open to users at www.getsqrl.com, makes it easier for accountants and other professionals to gather information from clients through a "request engine" that automates and manages routine communications and requests.
