Tectura Founder and CEO Steps Down

The largest Microsoft Dynamics reseller in the country, and one of the biggest in the world, is losing its long-time leader as Tectura Corp. founder, president and chief executive Terry Petrzelka will be retiring and leaving the company at the end of this year.

Petrzelka will remain with the company for the next three months, and his duties and responsibilities will be focused “only on defined projects that are intended to assist the company in his transition out of Tectura and to maximize the business potential during the remaining months” of this year, according to a company statement..

Effectively immediately, Petrzelka's other duties and responsibilities will be assumed by chief operating officer Duane Bell, who will ultimately step into the president and CEO role.
In addition, Petrzelka is resigning as chairman of the board of directors, effective immediately. He will be replaced by Jerry Poch, managing director of Tectura’s largest investor, FirstMark Capital,

In a statement regarding his departure, Poch said that Petrzelka’s “vision and leadership are responsible for Tectura emerging from a small regional business when it was founded in 2001 to the global firm it is today. We understand [Petrzelka’s] decision to retire, but the foundation he has laid will allow the company to move forward.”

Tectura has been at the top of the Accounting Today VAR 100 list for years, recently posting revenue of $230 million from a staff of 1,600 in 45 offices.
