Thomson Reuters Improves GoFileRoom

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has released a series of new capabilities in its online document management and workflow software GoFileRoom, which now boasts new search functionality and improved tax form identification capabilities.

Specific enhancements in the new release include the ability to search for documents that contain blank index value; search for multiple documents at once, or search multiple drawers simultaneously.
Improvements to the program’s TaxSort features include the ability to identify customizable bookmark categories and additional menu options for Adobe PDF files that are stored in GoFileRoom.

In addition, there are new features in the FirmFlow function, including the ability to search for FirmFlow notes and attachments in reports and the ability to perform bulk updates on workflow step routing assignments, information fields, and deliverable due dates.

“For more and more tax and accounting professionals, working with documents electronically is becoming the default option,” said Scott Fleszar, vice president of strategic marketing at the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “GoFileRoom’s innovation has advanced that transition over the years, and we’re working hard to make sure it maintains its leadership role in the profession.”
