Thomson Reuters Releases Android Version of Mobile CS

Thomson Reuters has released an Android-compatible version of its practice management system, Mobile CS.

The app gives users of devices running Google’s Android 2.1 or higher access to firm information such as work in process, accounts receivable, staff activity and client interactions that is stored in Thomson Reuters’ Practice CS system. The company has previously released mobile apps for Practice CS for Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Mobile CS also offers a variety of automated capabilities, including time and expense entry, mileage tracking, receipt tracking, and a call timer. All features automatically flow information to Practice CS.

“Mobile CS is becoming an indispensable part of doing business for more and more firms, and Android is the most prevalent mobile platform in use today, so this was a natural progression,” said Scott Fleszar, vice president of strategic marketing at the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters. “For partners and key staffers, staying connected to the firm and to clients is essential, and this will extend that connectivity to a new group of users.”

A free, fully functional trial version of Mobile CS is available in the Android Market and the Apple App Stores. Once downloaded, any Android, Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch user can try Mobile CS free of charge with the sample data that automatically comes with it. A paid license is required to sync Practice CS firm data to Mobile CS.
