Thomson Reuters Updates Indirect Tax Software

Thomson Reuters has released the latest version of its ONESOURCE Indirect Tax global software suite, with a new tax certificate manager and new features in other modules of the suite for keeping track of value-added and other indirect taxes.

ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Certificate Manager 1.0 is a brand new feature and the latest addition to the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax global software suite to help organizations manage the burdensome process of handling exemption certificates.

Several of the other modules in the suite have been upgraded with new features. ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination 5.5 offers several new features that enable a product to be dynamically assigned to a transaction, an enterprise resource planning tax code to be associated with a tax result and returned to the source system.  In addition, the latest release includes new configuration Web services, an enhanced user interface and new logic for calculating tax for Brazil ICMS tax substitution.

ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Reporting 6.2 provides a new library of system configuration reports, new detail-level and summary-level tax reports, new compliance data extract reports, and a simplified deployment configuration utility.

ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP 5.2.0.0B (Basic US/CA) streamlines the install and setup process. The documentation has been overhauled, and several known issues with the software have been resolved.

ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Integration for SAP 5.2.0.0E (Enhanced Global) maps the ERP tax code to SAP. Additional user attributes are returned to SAP based on a Java post-calculation. The software resolves incorrect debit and credit postings. Improvements have also been made to the installation and setup process. Several known bugs have also been fixed in the latest release.
