Tomorrow's news

Calling all accounting majors (and the professors who love them)!

We're looking for college juniors and seniors to talk with us about your experiences. We want to know your challenges, why you're passionate about studying accounting and find out, among other things, what you really think about those International Financial Reporting Standards that are bugging everybody. This is the stuff the future is made of, and after all, it's you who are building our future.

Of course, those of you who know or work with accounting students, feel free to contact us and recommend someone. We're looking to round up 10 to 12 folks for a future focus group. This group would influence editorial content, have the opportunity to contribute bylined articles and be a resource to this publication and Accounting Tomorrow. And here's a bonus: Those who participate will receive a free one-year subscription to Accounting Today.

If you are interested, contact us at tomorrow@sourcemedia.com.

We were excited to learn that Accounting Tomorrow was listed among the Top 50 Blogs for Accountants, as listed by The Biz-Learner blog (http://onlineaccountingcolleges.com). We are proud to be among such accounting blogging superstars as Rick Telberg's CPA Trendlines, Kel's Accounting Elf, Scott Heintzelman's Exuberant Accountant, Michelle Golden's Golden Practices and Rita Keller's CPA Management, among others.

In other news, David Evans, a University of Tennessee graduate and managing member of Dixon Hughes' Atlanta office, received the Outstanding Young Alum Award at the university's first Annual Alumni Awards Gala. Congrats, David! Perhaps you could help us come up with a few good focus group members?

As always, we welcome suggestions, ideas and feedback. Contact us at tomorrow@sourcemedia.com.
