UBCC Upgrades General Ledger and Payroll

Universal Business Computing Co. has released the latest versions of its general ledger and payroll software with new productivity enhancements.

One new feature for merging general ledger accounts lets accountants roll up one active account into another active account, eliminating any chart of accounts that is no longer being used. Users can also now renumber GL accounts more easily and automatically apply e-mail signatures to outbound statements, reports and pay stubs. New printing features allow users to add an optional soft magnetic ink character recognition font that was previously available only with add-in memory chips.

A new check distribution and journal entry audit trail feature in the bank reconciliation detail screen shows the journal and sequence number from which distributions originated, making it easier to modify or delete them. A feature for automatic e-mailing of client reports allows users to attach PDF, comma-delimited and Excel files automatically to outbound e-mails via a batch process.
