New York-based accounting firm UHY Advisors has formed a strategic alliance with U.K.-based Glasswall Solutions Limited to bolster its risk advisory services practice. Glasswall provides technology that protects against file-based cyber threats.

Glasswall’s technology uses a proprietary method of deep-file inspection, remediation and cleaning. This feature is designed to eliminate all types of document attacks and zero-day malware, a type of unknown cyber attack for which there is no existing defense.

As part of the alliance, UHY plans to provide professional services including managing implementation of Glasswall’s technology for its clients, and acting as the point of contact for its clients after installation.

Glasswall will conduct the initial risk assessment of a company’s current security posture, then develop the production design based on the client’s infrastructure and operational needs. They will work closely with UHY to outline and ultimately initiate the rollout of the updated security system.

“The Glasswall solution is unique and will greatly benefit any organization looking to improve their cybersecurity framework,” said Warren Zafrin, a leader in the risk advisory services practice at UHY, in a statement. “This software delivers value to all areas of the business: security, compliance, audit, governance and risk; and will help our clients on a global scale, including both private enterprises across industries as well as government and governmental institutions.”
