SWK TECHNOLOGIES TO BUY ISM

Livingston, N.J. -- Major Sage North America partner SWK Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SilverSun Technologies Inc., has signed a letter of intent to acquire Portland, Ore.-based Sage reseller Information Systems Management Inc., solidifying a more national presence and adding more than $6 million in revenue. SWK Technologies anticipates closing the acquisition by Jan. 1, 2013. More important, the buy will bolster SWK's existing Sage 100, 500 and X3 business, and adds over 30 staff with offices in Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento, Calif., San Diego, San Francisco, and the Washington, D.C., area. The union will also add more CRM product business, specifically through Sage CRM, SalesLogix, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

 

ACUMATICA EXPANDS NETWORK

McLean, Va. -- Cloud and on-premises financial and ERP product maker Acumatica expanded its global channel partner network by adding 21 value-added resellers in the U.S., Mexico and other countries. More specifically, in the third quarter of 2012, the company added 11 VARs in the U.S., five in Mexico, and the remaining five in the U.K., Canada, Moldova, Nigeria and the Philippines.

 

BRITTENFORD DEVELOPS CHECK FRAUD PREVENTION SERVICE

Reston, Va. -- Intacct partner Brittenford Systems has developed PositivePay, a new check fraud prevention service for Intacct users. PositivePay integrates with the Intacct Cash Management Module and is designed to dramatically reduce check fraud. A data file is compiled for each check run and transmitted to the bank to reject fraudulent checks before the bank authorizes payment. The user interface provides simple set-up and configuration for any bank format required and multiple checking accounts.
