Vertex SMB, provider in sales and use tax solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, introduced a returns-only offering of its cloud-based solution.
The new returns option enables tax professionals in SMBs or accounting firms to import tax data from any financial system to generate accurate and compliant returns.
The returns-only functionality is offered to cut down on time, effort, and the need for custom integrations or software connectors.
After setting up a Vertex SMB account, users can export tax data into an adjustment file and upload it unto the solution, which will automatically populate the most current forms and produce signature-ready PDF returns.
“There are more than 10,000 sales tax jurisdictions in the United States and almost as many tax rates to apply in these jurisdictions collectively,” stated David Henkin, vice president and general manager at Vertex SMB. “Determining which jurisdictions require returns, identifying which forms to complete, and filling them out and filing on time is a very labor-intensive and complicated task.
