The group chose James K. Walker, president and CEO of Walker Consulting Group in Glen Allen, as chair for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. He will be chairman during the VSCPA’s centennial anniversary.

“I plan to be out in the public, at meetings and with members, raising awareness of the organization and the profession,” said Walker. “We’re 100 years old! I’d like to draw attention to that.”

Bradford R. Jones, of PBGH LLP in Fredericksburg, will serve as chair-elect.

The new vice chairs are Dawn D. Barnard of Beers + Cutler in Vienna; Damon L. DeSue of Dollar Tree Management in Chesapeake; Stephen M. Gay of Harris, Harvey, Neal & Co. LLP in Danville; and Lisa C. Germano of Actuarial Benefits & Design Company in Midlothian.
