Wave Launches Payroll Tax Service for Small Business Owners

Cloud accounting and small business finance tool maker Wave has added Payroll Tax Service for 10 U.S. states, with more coming later in the year.

After customers run their payroll, Wave's Payroll Tax Service files payroll taxes to federal and state agencies on the customer’s behalf. The service only withdraws funds when taxes are due to maximize customers’ control over their cash flow, and notifies customers prior to withdrawal and payment.

Wave's Payroll Tax Service is currently available for Florida, Texas, New York, California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia and New Jersey for $20 per month. Wave started with these 10 states because this is where the majority of its customers currently are, but expects to support all 50 by the fourth quarter of this year.

“Simplifying the accounting process for small business owners is a cornerstone of Wave’s operations," said Wave chief executive Kirk Simpson. "We know how complicated payroll taxes can be. Payroll Tax Service facilitates payments and filing to the appropriate agencies for our customers, keeping them on time and in compliance.”
