WebCPA’s Newest Addition

Ever since we launched a redesigned Web site in late April, we’ve been eager to add new features and we can finally roll out the first major one.

I’d like to introduce our new blog WebCPA Debits & Credits. I hope you’ll check it out and actively participate. One of the goals of the new site is to be more interactive, so we’re hoping to get conversations going on the blog, just as we’ve had on its sister blog, Accounting Tomorrow Where It’s At.

Debits & Credits will be keeping tabs on some of the latest developments in tax, accounting and client advisory services. We’re also planning to use the blog to do live coverage of accounting conferences, workshops, webcasts and more.

WebCPA is trying to respond to the need for more immediate news in the age of Twitter and Facebook. In fact, we’ve been on those two services as well, even using Twitter to do some live coverage of webcasts of congressional hearings and accounting standard-setter meetings, and putting links on our Facebook page to some of our latest news.

We’re hoping to use the new blog as yet another way for the staff to leverage the Web, so keep watching this space for further developments. And I hope you’ll join up and post your comments there as well so we can build more of an online accounting community at WebCPA.
