Weiser LLP has tapped four new CPA partners: John Barone, Howard H. Cohen, Remi Forgeas and Steven Kops.
Barone is an audit partner who services clients in the manufacturing, distribution, brokerage and employee benefit plan industries. He currently serves as the president of the Nassau County Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs.
Kops, a partner in the Transaction Services Group, performs due diligence procedures for mergers and acquisitions on behalf of private equity groups and corporations, and due diligence related to litigation support and various types of financing transactions on behalf of the lending community.
Cohen, an audit partner, advises both public and private companies on financial management issues including financing, completing acquisitions, and raising capital through public offerings and private placements. In addition, he has extensive experience with SEC clients and not-for-profit entities.
Forgeas provides audit and transaction services to public and private international firms and focuses on cross-border issues, including differences between U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards.
