WeiserMazars Taps Burke to Lead its Pennsylvania Practice

Vincent Burke has been selected to lead WeiserMazars LLP’s Pennsylvania practice as partner-in-charge of the Philadelphia office.

Burke takes over the role from partner Kathryn Byrne who oversaw the integration of both Fishbein & Co. and LECG/Smart into WeiserMazars.

“Working with Kathryn was a true pleasure and I look forward to building on the strong foundation she created,” Burke said in a statement. “The Pennsylvania market is an active one and suffered as much as the rest of the country from the current economic volatility.  I am honored to have been asked to help our office deliver the highest-quality service to both existing clients and new ones.”

“Kathryn was immensely successful in developing our Pennsylvania practice and positioning it for future growth,” WeiserMazars’s managing partner Douglas Phillips said in a statement. “As she transitions into her other responsibilities with the partnership, both in our New York and Philadelphia offices and internationally, we asked Vinny to step in to continue building our profile. His extensive background in the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia markets combined with his management expertise make him a natural choice to take on the Partner-in-Charge role. We know that he will continue bringing our tradition of excellent service to clients throughout the state.”

Vinny has more than 30 years of experience serving the Pennsylvania market, with a focus on audit.  Prior to becoming a partner at WeiserMazars he was a practice leader in the insurance and reinsurance services industry, where he provided accounting, auditing, and consulting advice to a variety of clients. He regularly speaks and writes on topics in the accounting field. In addition to being a registered CPA in Pennsylvania, he holds an MBA from Baruch College and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and a Chartered Life Underwriter.
