WeiserMazars Taps Fischer as Partner-in-Charge of Health Care Group

Kenneth Fischer has been named partner-in-charge of WeiserMazars LLP's health care group. Fischer succeeds Lawrence Cafasso who is stepping down after leading the group for seven years.

“Ken’s significant experience and reputation in the field makes him an excellent choice to lead our Health Care Group and demonstrates our commitment to this rapidly evolving sector,” WeiserMazars’ managing partner, Douglas Phillips said in a statement. “The health care industry is undergoing a significant transition. Under Ken’s guidance, WeiserMazars is well positioned to address business challenges faced by providers."

Fischer has more than 35 years of experience in the health care industry. He's worked with academic medical centers, integrated delivery systems, community hospitals, and ambulatory care facilities. He has served as a consultant and business advisor in a wide range of subjects from financial and revenue cycle management to information technology and strategic planning.

Prior to joining WeiserMazars, Fischer was the CEO of the boutique consulting firm Smart Solutions for Health Care, which was acquired by the firm on January 1, 2012.

Fischer kicked off his accounting career at KPMG, where he was partner-in-charge of the firm’s Northeast/New York health care practice for 12 years.
