Whitman launches firm valuation tool

Whitman Advisory today introduced a firm valuation tool called ValueMyCPAFirm.com.

The platform aims to help users — such as CPA firm owners, succession planners and private equity investors — by giving insights on a firm's market value and highlighting opportunities for growth and improved efficiency. Using proprietary transaction data and artificial intelligence, the tool evaluates metrics such as sales pipeline health, client churn and retention, cross-sell potential, revenue quality and technology stack automation.

"Leaders need more than a simple valuation, they require a strategic roadmap," Philip Whitman, CEO and president of Whitman Advisory, said in a statement. "We designed this platform to quickly turn raw financial data into the objective confidence executives need to make key transitions and execute high-stakes decisions without hesitation."

The tool gives an initial snapshot of the firm's valuation range and a one-page executive summary within minutes. It then provides a full report, which outlines methodologies, industry benchmarks and strategic action steps to grow revenue and increase operational efficiency.

Cofounder Justin Wolfskehl commented, "ValueMyCPAFirm.com delivers a comprehensive report designed to support a broader business strategy and is followed by expert consultations that help our users map out data-backed next steps."

The platform's release comes as the accounting profession continues to consolidate through private equity-fueled M&A. Last week, Accountaneur Advisory launched a similar tool, called Enterprise Attractiveness Score, which is an online self-scoring tool to help firms determine their attractiveness to PE investors.
