Wolters Kluwer Appoints Abramson as CEO for Tax & Accounting Unit

Karen Abramson has been selected as the new CEO of Wolters Kluwer’s Tax & Accounting division. She succeeds Kevin Robert, who will be retiring in September 2013.

Abramson most recently served as president and CEO of CCH Tax & Accounting, North America. Abramson has experience in the professional information and software industry, and brings a 13-year track record of driving growth at Wolters Kluwer through customer-focused innovation.

As division CEO, she will further develop Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting’s leadership position in the U.S. and abroad. Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has operations in North America, Europe, the Asia Pacific region and Brazil.

Abramson joined Wolters Kluwer in 2000, and has held a series of executive leadership roles with the company. Since 2012, she has led CCH in North America, where she has driven advancements across the business through the launch of innovative new products.

Before joining CCH, Abramson was CEO of the Medical Research group in the Wolters Kluwer Health division. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer Health in 2006, she served as vice president and general manager of CT Corsearch, a division of Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services.
