Wolters Kluwer Closes PwC TeamMate Deal

Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting announced that it has closed its acquisition of the TeamMate software business from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Wolters Kluwer, the parent company of CCH, announced in October that it was buying PwC's audit productivity software business for an undisclosed sum (see Wolters Kluwer to Acquire TeamMate from PwC). Corporate internal audit departments and government agencies in 96 countries use the suite. Wolters Kluwer claims that more than 56,000 auditors currently employ the software.

The suite includes five products: the TeamMate EWP electronic workpaper system, the TeamCentral audit issues tracking software, the TeamRisk risk assessment tool, the TeamSchedule scheduling system and the TeamMate TEC time and expense tracking software.

CCH will maintain TeamMate as a separate business line supported by the PwC employees who are moving over to CCH. The product suite will be renamed CCH TeamMate.
