Wolters Kluwer offers free tax software to military members

For the second consecutive year, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting is providing its TaxWise Online tax preparation software for professionals for free to military tax centers, which provide complimentary tax filing services for Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard personnel.

Military tax centers are run by the Armed Forces Tax Council through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Wolters Kluwer entered into an agreement with VITA and the Council last year to allow its tax software to be deployed at the tax centers on U.S. military bases around the world, for use by its volunteer professionals.

TaxWise Online 2017 is cloud-based, and can be used for both federal and state returns, as well as individual and business returns in English and Spanish. The software also offers tax return status updates and reports, client letters, and unlimited document capture and storage.

“We’re proud to be a part of this program once again to contribute to our community and support our military servicemen and women,” stated Julie Peck, executive vice president and general manager, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America, U.S. small firm professional. “At Wolters Kluwer, we strongly believe in taking the opportunity to make a difference by delivering something meaningful to our customers and society.”
