New York (Oct. 7, 2003) -- Consulting giant Accenture, formerly known as Andersen Consulting, has signed PGA superstar Tiger Woods to a three-year advertising contract.
A series of ads -- created by Young & Rubicam -- will feature Woods trumpeting Accenture's various management and IT services with the tagline "Go on. Be a tiger."
The Woods campaign includes print, cable and network TV advertising in 27 countries as well as display ads in airports. The campaign kicked off Friday with television commercials that ran during the American Express Championship over the weekend.
The ads are also scheduled to appear on CNN and CNBC. Print advertisements are scheduled to appear in The New York Times, USA Today and Financial Times.
The pact also designates Accenture as the exclusive management consulting and technology services partner of both Tiger Woods and the Tiger Woods Foundation.
