WSI Industries Dumps E&Y as Auditor

   

Osseo, Minn. (Aug. 23, 2002) -- Contract manufacturer WSI Industries, Inc. has dismissed Ernst & Young and hired Minneapolis-based Schechter Dokken Kanter Andrews & Selcer Ltd. as its independent public accountant, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.The company said none of Ernst & Young's reports during the last two years contained an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of opinion, or have been qualified or modified as to uncertainty, audit scope or accounting principle. The firm said it had no disagreements with E&Y. The audit firm furnished a letter to the SEC at WIC's request stating that it agreed with the company's statements.
