WTP Advisors Expands Internationally

Tax and business advisory firm WTP Advisors has entered into nine new affiliations with tax and accounting consultancy firms on four continents.

The new affiliations expand the firm to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands and Spain, adding to an existing international presence that includes mainland China and the United Kingdom.

“We have reached critical mass, and are now at the point at which we can offer services in almost every major country in the world,” said WTP Advisors partner Ian Boccaccio in a statement.

WTP Advisors began building its global capacity over a year ago by initiating affiliations with tax and business advisory firms with similar expertise to meet the needs of its growing base of multinational clients.

“Our clients are spread across many borders, and are exposed to many different tax and legal environments,” said Boccaccio. “Our mission is to improve an organization's bottom line whether it is doing business in Topeka or Tokyo.”

Each new affiliate firm was selected based on its reputation for high-quality work, and hands-on involvement by senior staff with projects. All of the affiliates within the WTP Advisors network have a similar history and mission. Founding members of each firm left one of the Big Four accounting firms to create a new venture that would provide high-quality tax consulting based on clients’ individual needs. In July 2010, WTP Advisors announced that it had begun an alliance with London-based Hopkins Consulting, which will now do business as WTP Advisors UK.
