Sales performance management provider Xactly Corp. has launched Xactly Analytics, a software tool for analyzing sales data.

The product is an effort to bring together all the data necessary to improve visibility and analysis of an organization's spending on commissions, selling patterns, sales rep and team performance, product performance, and sales plan effectiveness to enhance business strategies and maximize sales performance.

Post-sales data - including factual data on what was sold, by whom, through what channels, at what price and how each sale was compensated - is the most accurate source of information for measuring sales performance. But according to Xactly, that information has often been fragmented across multiple, difficult-to-access back-end systems, including programs for order entry, human resources, pricing and products.

Xactly's flagship product, Xactly Incent, a software-as-a-service sales compensation management application, aggregates this information into a single Web-based repository to calculate incentive compensation. Xactly Analytics taps into this set of post-sales data to provide analytics, metrics, ad-hoc reporting, and Web-based executive dashboards and scorecards targeted to the sales performance analysis needs of sales and finance management.

"Xactly Incent and Xactly Analytics help ensure that sales and finance strategies are closely aligned, and that they are being measured quantifiably to attain success and deliver definitive insight into business performance," said Karen Steele, vice president of marketing at Xactly.

Xactly Analytics provides unified views of sales incentives, product performance, and sales performance by sales team, product or region. The product includes automated data workflow processes that transform data from Xactly Incent to provide better visibility into incentive spending. Later this year, Xactly Analytics will leverage data from external sources, such as sales pipeline and expense management systems, to enable an even wider range of analysis, building upon incentive spend analytics with metrics on cost of sales, margins and profitability.

Currently in beta release, Xactly Analytics is scheduled for general availability in early June 2008. For more information, visit
