XCM releases new products, enhancements

XCM, which makes cloud-based workflow solutions, released several new products and product enhancements at its 2018 Xchange XCM user conference, held in Austin.

XCM has updated its XCMscheduler, and released XCMapi and XCM Analytics as a Service, a new interactive visual data analytic service offering benchmark data and insights from XCMworkflow.

The new version of XCMscheduler is designed to provide better insight into resource capacity, availability and expertise, while providing real-time management of personnel to deliver optimal performance. The scheduling software features a dynamic browser, operating system, and device-agnostic interface, for scheduling individuals, teams and engagements. A new “heat map” shows work that is scheduled, allowing users to assign or reassign work with drag-and-drop capabilities. The new calendar grid displays both staff and client schedules, along with employee availability and conflicts, work assigned, and anticipated work.

XCMapi offers an open and connected platform that provides businesses and public accounting firms greater connectivity to the multiple systems they use throughout their organizations. These APIs connect information such as staff, client/entity, tasks and statuses through an open application programming interface. Accountants can pull data from applications into XCMworkflow and to push data from XCMworkflow to external applications.

XCM’s new Analytics as a Service solution is hoped to provide deeper visibility into customer data, industry trends and other analytics. The service provides real-time smart analytics with XCM’s benchmark data in a visualized and interactive key performance indicator (KPI) dashboard, providing insights into the overall productivity of a business or public accounting firm. Standard KPIs include reporting, such as year-over-year comparison against a national average for those time periods and against prior years.

For more complex and detailed visualizations, XCM Custom Analytics Services offers organization-specific reporting and analytics, including rich filtering, on-demand comparative analysis, and relevant task, status and progress reporting for senior leadership and managers.

“Our strategy to open the platform is a natural extension as we have a number of integrations available today,” stated Sanjath Sulkunte, vice president of product development for XCM. “This just makes it easier for our customers.”

“We’re upping the game on productivity and extending XCM’s utility for our customers,” added XCM CEO Mike Sabbatis.
