xTuple introduced Version 2.2 of its OpenMFG enterprise resource planning software and said the free, open source version, PostBooks, has been downloaded more than 12,000 times since it was introduced a month ago.
OpenMFG includes additional manufacturing and distribution features. The new version adds support for pre-sales opportunity management in the customer relationship management module. It also supports inter-warehouse transfer orders and associated reporting.
xTuple has also added an application programming interface for both products so they can integrate with third-party applications. The two products have a more customizable menu system.
Both products include inventory management, product definition and costing, work order management, purchasing, sales, shipping and receiving, and other accounting modules. They also include multicurrency and multilingual features, and support for multilayered taxation structures.
