American Indian Graduate Center and New Mexico firm create new scholarship

The American Indian Graduate Center and REDW, New Mexico’s largest locally-owned certified public accounting and business consulting firm, have partnered to create a scholarship program for American Indian students who want to study accounting, according to Indian Country Today Media Network.

The annual scholarship program REDW Native American Scholarship in Accounting, is open to full-time students in both undergraduate and graduate programs.

“AIGC is deeply grateful for the generous and progressive commitment REDW has made to this scholarship fund,” said Joan Currier, acting director of AIGC, in a press release. “Through the creation of a scholarship program geared toward accounting students, REDW is quite literally helping pave the way for new generations of Native Americans into the accounting field.”
