BlumShapiro to donate 2,000 Thanksgiving Day meals

Getting into the giving spirit of the holidays,BlumShapiroannounced today that their BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for CCA willprovide Thanksgiving Day meals to more than 2,000 families and seniors in the New Haven area for the third consecutive year, in conjunction withChristian Community Action (CCA).

“The BlumShapiro Thanksgiving Food Basket Campaign for Christian Community Action has become an annual, impactful community program that assists many needy seniors and families in New Haven,” said John Zinno, BlumShapiro office managing partner, in a statement. “BlumShapiro employees and our families look forward to partnering with other businesses, individuals, schools, churches and civic groups in this community wide effort to help other families have a festive, nutritious and fulfilling Thanksgiving Day.”

Financial contributions to CCA will go towards the purchase of turkeys, non-perishable food items and other necessities for a healthy Thanksgiving Day meal - online donations will be accepted here.

Additionally, the Food Basket Campaignwill collect non-perishable food items from October 1 to November 19. BlumShapiro will provide collection boxes to companies for donations.
