Deloitte to hold college workshops at Brooklyn Academy of Finance

Deloitte has recently announced a collaboration with John Dewey High School Academy of Financein Brooklyn, providing students with a series of workshops centered on important issues in preparing for both college and their eventual careers. Each workshop will run for three hours and house a maximum of 28 students.

The Academy of Finance is part of the National Academy Foundation (NAF), a leading developer of career themed public high schools nationwide designed to provide students in lower-income urban areas with work-based learning opportunities to supplement their general education.

Workshop topics will include how to prepare for standardized tests, resume building, public versus private colleges, making sense of the college application process, understanding one's college choices, creating one's own brand, understanding the anatomy of a financial services company, and developing long-term strategies in business.
