Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA completes United Way 'Day of Caring'

More than a dozen staff members of CPA and business consultants Myers, Brettholtz & Company, PA and their families recently spent a day completing aUnited Way Day of CaringatChild Care of Southwest Florida'sJoseph H. Messina Children’s Center in Fort Myers.

Participants spent the day cleaning up the improving the Child Care campus, adding new landscape enhancements, cleaning windows and painting the facility.

“Helping others in our community and seeing the smiles on the faces of the recipients is one of the greatest joys of our company,” said Lori Sampson, shareholder with the firm, in a statement. “Our employees really enjoy giving back to the community, whether it’s providing manual labor to improve a nonprofit’s site, delivering healthy meals to the needy, providing a Thanksgiving meal to at-risk girls or decorating scarecrows for a good cause.”

For more than 40 years, Child Care of Southwest Florida has provided services to children, families and child care professionals in Southwest Florida. The nonprofit organization has more than 100 employees serving more than 600 children each year at six different child care centers.

Notably, Myers, Brettholtz & Co. has sponsored annual seminars since 2001 on nonprofits focused on human resources, fundraising, accounting practices and finance.
