Joining the ranks of collegesto explore more options in offering accounting degrees, Northern State University, in Aberdeen, S.D., will offer two accounting degrees starting this fall.

NSU will offer two Bachelor of Science degrees - one in accounting, and one in professional accountancy. The former will require students to complete 120 credit hours of study, while the latter degree will require 150 credit hours.

“What makes this program different is that it is being developed to address specific challenges faced by South Dakota principals operating in rural settings,” said Paul Turman, the regents’ system vice president for academic affairs, in a statement on NSU's website. “The instructional model will allow students to learn theory and practice in independent settings, and apply their learning in field exercises at partner school districts.”
