SS&G tees off for Alzheimer's research

Cleveland-based accounting, advisory and consulting firm SS&G will host its 14th Memorial Golf Classic benefiting the Cleveland and Greater East Ohio Area chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association on June 21.

With a tee-off time at 11 a.m. at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, the all-day event honors SS&G’s founder, Marvin Shamis, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. Funds from the event, which have totaled more than $330,000 since its inception, will help support the advancement of research on the disease.

Firestone Country Club also hosts the golf championship Bridgestone Invitational.
