Two Long Island firms offering free Tax Day chair massages

Certain taxpayers will be eligible for a free chair massage at two Long Island accounting firms on Tax Day this year, according to Newsday.

The massages will be offered at two accountants' offices:ZBS Group LLPin Plainview andFreeport Tax Servicein Bellmore. Massage Envy locations nearby will provide licensed professional masseuses to the tax offices.

At ZBS, massages will be given from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, and at Freeport from 1 to 3 p.m. “It basically exposes us to the local market," stated ZBS' managing partner, Dov Zaidman. "We do a lot of our work nationally and internationally."

The promotion notes that April is National Stress Awareness Month, sponsored by The Health Resource Network, a nonprofit health education organization. The campaign's website says it's "a national, cooperative effort to inform people about the dangers of stress, successful coping strategies and harmful misconceptions about stress that are prevalent in our society."

Massage Envy first tried the promotion last year at H&R Block offices in the Philadelphia area and decided to do it again this year at five Philadelphia H&R Blocks as well as expanding to the Washington, D.C., region, and Long Island.
