Got a new marketing superstar in your firm you want to recognize? Are they the type to push up their sleeves and get down in the trenches? Have their achievements caused heads to turn? If so, he/she could be the next Association for Accounting Marketing's Annual Rookie of the Year.

Successful firms know strong marketing is a key to consistent growth – so why not acknowledge those up and coming leaders who are making a difference in your workplace? An open call for nominations is taking place now until Feb. 20, 2009. The winner will be presented with an award at AAM's Marketing Achievement Awards Gala during AAM Summit 2009 (their 20-year anniversary) on June 4, 2009 in Austin, Texas.

Created in 2005, the award is open to any marketing professional who has been in the accounting marketing field for less than two years and who is a member of AAM (though those who nominate don't have to be members). The candidate must demonstrate excellence within the accounting profession, within AAM and show creativity and initiative within their firm.

In other words, they need to have some flair.

CPAs in Lake Success, N.Y. took it home in 2007; Eric Majchrzak of Freed Maxick & Battaglia, CPAs, PC from Buffalo, N.Y., was given the award in 2006 and the inaugural winner was Rene Stranghoner of Weaver and Tidwell LLP from Fort Worth, Texas.
