Wolters Kluwer announces multiple updates to CCH Axcess at 2016 CCH Connections User Conference

This week, during the 12th annual CCH Connections User Conference in Washington, D.C., Wolters Kluwer  unveiled a number of updates to CCH Axcess, the cloud-based, modular tax workflow solution suite.

“CCH Axcess is changing the way firms work today. With anywhere, anytime access and a common core database, firms are seeing that the integrated solution is helping them grow by creating significant efficiencies,” stated Heffy Provost, executive vice president and general manager of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America, Medium to Large Firm segment. “Firms can leverage Wolters Kluwer’s depth and breadth of complex tax regulations that are integrated into CCH Axcess, so it’s easier for them to comply with legislation allowing their staff to spend more time advising clients and delivering value-added services.”

The CCH Axcess updates include:

  • CCH Axcess Practice - Adding more billing options that save time regardless of the billing model used, better navigation of the billing process via HTML 5 functionality, advanced editing capability to allow for total control of invoice formatting
  • CCH Axcess Workstream - Recent enhancements include "First in/First Out" pools giving staff insight on what to work on next, as well as Advanced Staff Assignment panes that highlight the most important projects for an employee. Project Status KPI panes will highlight bottle necks and provide insight into projects. Future features will provide Data Access APIs for quicker access to the CCH Axcess Workstream database.
  • CCH Axcess Document Share Safe - Introduced in last year, Document Share Safe is a file-sharing feature found in CCH Axcess Document offering a secure way to exchange files without a portal or third-party application. Files are protected via the same end-to-end encryption system that protects files found in CCH Axcess Document and CCH Axcess Portal.
  • CCH Client Axcess - Representing the next step in the CCH Axcess Portal, created with HTML 5 and responsive Web design, Client Axcess looks to offer similar client-facing features available in the Microsoft Silverlight version of Axcess Portal, with additional firm user and administrative capabilities. Recent enhancements include drag and drop files, creating/managing portal users, manage files and their history, adding custom folders and setting their security, and viewing/editing file properties including expiration date and read-only mod.

“With a crisp, clean user interface created using HTML 5 and today’s latest Web and mobile standards and technologies, CCH Client Axcess is poised to become the central hub of digital communications between a firm and its clients,” added Provost. “It’s one of the many innovations and enhancements we’re bringing to CCH Axcess for future-ready firms that are looking to leverage all that a cloud-based, integrated solution can offer.”
CCH Client Axcess also offers access to files from all browsers on a PC or Mac desktop, tablet or smartphone, as well via a mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. CCH My1040Data, which minimizes client data entry and collects 1040 source documents. The navigational capabilities of My1040Data applies insights and feedback from a broad test group of public accounting clients, will be available to CCH Axcess Tax customers on such mobile devices for the 2016 tax year.
