The company is rolling out improvements to ProConnect Tax Online, ProSeries and Lacerte ahead of the coming tax season.

The enhancements, along with a new QuickBooks Online Windows app and ProAdvisor certification, were introduced during Intuit's virtual QuickBooks Connect user conference.

Intuit Inc., the maker of TurboTax and QuickBooks software, agreed to buy privately held email marketing firm Mailchimp for $12 billion in cash and stock, uniting two providers of services for small businesses.

Talks are ongoing and if they’re successful it would mark Intuit’s largest deal ever.
